NOTE: A storm that swept through the eastern side of Northland from 17–22 January caused a small landslide that affected the pathway leading down to the Oceanview Hut. The hut itself is completely unaffected and perfectly safe, it’s just the original path that needs repairs. We’re currently waiting on an update from NHC, and at this stage we don’t have an ETA for when the pathway will be restored. In the meantime, we’ve created an alternative access route via the veranda of our main house. We live here too, sometimes we’re around, sometimes we’re not — but we absolutely don’t bite (promise! 😂). You’re welcome to wander through anytime you need, and once you reach the hut you’ll still enjoy your full privacy as normal.
